BIOGRAPHY & COMMENTS PATRICK MAILLER studied music, drama and dance at the Music Conservatories of Toulouse and Bordeaux in France. He has worked in many theatres throughout the world as director and designer and has served as assistant director to stage directors Pier Luigi Pizzi, Robert Wilson, Sonja Frisell, Jose Luis Castor and the Czech film maker, Jiri Menzel. In recent seasons, Patrick completed the design of three new productions: Mozart's Don Giovanni for Minnesota Opera in the United States; Massenet's Werther for Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in Spain; and Bellini's Sonnambula for Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville, Spain. He also directed each of these productions in 2006. He reprises his production design of Sonnambula for Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa in April 2008 and designed the costumes especially for this production.
